Overview

It seems that technology has started to take over the world. Everywhere you look technology is being used, whether it is a student on their laptop, a pedestrian texting on their cellphone or a driver using their GPS system. In 2010, 1.9 billion people in the world used email, 2 billion people in the world were on the internet and within that year there was a 14% increase in internet users. Internet Statistics Technology has greatly improved our society but at the same time has caused many conflicts. It has created more of a gap in learning ability for citizens unable to access this advantage, created controversy with teachers, and other issues.

This blog is meant to show what technology is classrooms can do while also showing the problems that are associated with technology. The main issue that I will be focusing on is sustainability within technology. This covers issues regarding funding, budgeting, and updating technology. "Around the world, education technology is being used to improve instruction and better prepare today’s students for tomorrow’s postsecondary education and careers." - Obama Statement Although technology in all classrooms would be amazing, it is hard to do since it is so expensive and it is always updating and changing.
